BOTRYTISED BERRIES, TUFF AND PATIENCE
Nature lays the foundation. The winemaker gives it time.
What makes a 3-puttonyos Tokaj special? Its story begins with classic Tokaj grape varieties enhanced by the noble fungus Botrytis cinerea. This helps form cibéby — shrivelled berries in which water evaporation concentrates the natural sugar.
After the addition of precious essence from overripe botrytised berries, the 2013 vintage aged for three years in the Tokaj tuff cellar of the Ostrožovič winery. Time is part of the very essence of this wine. Its creation cannot be rushed.

CHARACTER OF THE 2013 VINTAGE
Golden amber. An aroma worth lingering over.
Even a glance into the glass suggests that this wine deserves time. Its golden amber colour comes with higher viscosity; the aroma reveals the characteristic Tokaj bread-crust notes and dried fruit. On the palate, sweetness meets rich minerality.

AT THE TABLE
With strudel. And an evening you want to remember.
The aroma of baked apples, nuts and raisins. A strudel arrives at the table, accompanied by a small glass of Tokaj. The 2013 vintage can be a lovely reason to stay together a little longer.
Serve at 10–12 °C. Try a sip on its own first, then with a hand-stretched strudel filled with nuts, apples, raisins and poppy seeds. To discover another side of sweet Tokaj, the winemaker recommends duck terrine with horseradish dip and a beetroot crisp.
A GIFT WITH A PERSONAL MESSAGE
A gift with its own vintage. And its own story.
A wedding, an anniversary, a thank-you to a business partner or a memory of 2013. This bottle can be more than a gesture. It is a gift for someone who appreciates the origin, time and craft held within a wine.
It can be enjoyed today, and the winemaker indicates ageing potential stretching over decades. Set a few bottles aside and you can return to the same vintage later to follow its development. Further ageing also depends on proper storage.
