J & J OSTROŽOVIČ · VINTAGE 2008 · SLOVAK TOKAJ
2008. Give your evening depth.
Dark amber. Walnuts and honey. A Tokaj that invites you to slow down.

ONE VINTAGE · EIGHT GOLD MEDALS
A wine with its own story.
And international recognition.
From Berlin to Japan, from Texas to Israel. The winery lists eight gold and three silver medals for the 2008 vintage, awarded between 2020 and 2026. An invitation to discover a wine whose story extends far beyond Tokaj.
For a special evening. Or as a gift.
A bottle for someone who appreciates vintage, origin and craftsmanship. Choose it for a festive table or give it with an invitation: let’s open it together.
VOLCANIC SOIL, OAK AND TUFF
From the Chotár vineyard. With time for harmony.
This selection comes from the Chotár vineyard in Slovak Tokaj. Classic Tokaj varieties, volcanic soil and botrytised character form the foundation of its distinctive expression.
The 2008 vintage matured in oak barrels in a tuff cellar. Wood and time helped bring aroma and flavour into harmony. Open it without hurry — and let your evening unfold just as calmly.
The tuff cellar of J & J Ostrožovič. Where Tokaj wine develops its character.
CHARACTER OF THE 2008 VINTAGE
Dark amber. Walnuts, honey and raisins.
First pause to admire the colour. Then breathe in the aroma and take a small sip. At each step, you may find your own reason to stay with this Tokaj a little longer.
COLOUR
An amber-brown hue. A colour that lends a distinctive atmosphere to a moment with your glass.
AROMA
Tokaj bread-crust notes, walnuts and honey, complemented by ripe raisins, botrytis and dried tropical fruit.
PALATE
A sweet, harmonious expression with fruity minerality. Appreciate it on its own first, then alongside dessert.

AT THE TABLE
With gingerbread. With chocolate. For an evening together.
Dessert is on the table. The conversation is not over yet. Pour a small glass of Tokaj and enjoy an unhurried close to the evening.
Serve at 9–11 °C. The winemaker recommends pumpkin gingerbread with hot Belgian chocolate and vanilla crème fraîche, or crème brûlée with gingerbread. Start with a sip of wine on its own, then explore how it pairs with dessert.
A GIFT WITH A PERSONAL MESSAGE
A gift with its own vintage. And its own story.
A memory of 2008, a thank-you or an invitation to a festive table. A vintage wine offers a personal way to say: I chose this moment for you.
The winemaker notes a long ageing potential for this selection. Open one bottle at the next occasion and set another aside for later. The wine’s development in bottle also depends on proper storage conditions.
Everything essential about the 2008 selection.
