J & J OSTROŽOVIČ · SOLARIS · 2022
Currants, sour cherries and the character of Zemplín.
Cabernet Sauvignon Solaris 2022 appeals to red wine lovers who appreciate fruit, freshness and a firm structure. Herbal notes add another dimension to its currant and sour cherry character. At the table, it deserves as much attention as the dish you open it to accompany.
ORIGIN AND CHARACTER
A vintage with a character of its own.
The grapes come from the Vitályus vineyard site in the East Slovak wine region. Within the J & J Ostrožovič collection, this Cabernet represents the red side of Solaris: a different origin and grape variety, united by the signature of the same winery.
TASTING PROFILE
What you will discover in the glass.
AROMA
Currant buds, redcurrants and wild sour cherries are complemented by a herbal note of marjoram.
PALATE
Distinct tannins and lively acidity accompany the fruit. Stone fruit notes predominate, while the dry character allows the wine to shine with food.
A MOMENT TO ENJOY
Good wine in good company.
A good choice for a dinner where you want to give the wine time. Start with a small pour and notice how its character changes in the glass and alongside each bite.
AT THE TABLE
Serving and food pairing.
Serve at 12–15 °C. The winemaker recommends slow-roasted beef brisket with saffron aioli and grilled sweet potatoes. Even a simpler beef dish offers a good opportunity to explore this pairing.
