Origin and the winemaker’s signature

in the vineyard.
Abbrevio is built on estate-grown grapes and careful work in the vineyard. The winery grows its grapes under an integrated production system and uses reductive winemaking techniques that help preserve the wines’ lightness and freshness.
Furmint, Lipovina and Muškát žltý bring the character of Tokaj to the collection. Nobis complements them with a dry red cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon and Blaufränkisch from the East Slovak wine-growing region.

The winery’s story
Two names.
One shared story.
Jaro and Jarka Ostrožovič founded the winery in 1990. They started with five barrels and great determination. In Veľká Tŕňa, they gradually created a place that brings their lives and wine together. The Abbrevio Collection is part of this shared story, too.

Rows of vines, light filtering through the leaves and grapes tended by the winemaker all year round. This is where the story begins for wines you can enjoy at your own table.
